C.H. Spurgeon Prayer

Father, You are my Protector, my Victory and my Hope. If I should ever receive honor, it will be because of Your grace. I know that all believer’s have at least one enemy but I’m confident that I have more than one. Grant to me the grace to focus on You and not the lions in my den. The one exception to this request is that I might focus on them when I pray and that I would honor Jesus teaching and pray for my enemies. As David prayed, so I pray that You would break their teeth, their malicious spirit that desires to hurt and harm. Take their anger and bitterness and give them peace and joy. I pray that you would fill them with Your love and holiness. When I think about it, my enemies and I actually have the same needs: we need Your grace and mercy. I do pray for their forgiveness because they do not know what they are doing. I also celebrate my victory in Jesus, my Savior forever. In His perfect name I pray. Amen!
