Men ought always to pray, and not to faint.

Baccalaureate Prayer 1997

We ask not for prestige or even worldly gain,

Nor do we ask that you achieve greatness or fame;

But our utmost desire is for the Savior to live in your heart,

For you to know intimately the friend who will never depart.

He will faithfully guide you, showing you the way,

He will walk beside you each and every day.

We pray that you obey Him and seek His face,

That you know His sweet peace and rely on His grace.

Knowledge means nothing if you do not know Christ the LORD,

It is the only life quest that has an eternal reward.
