Men ought always to pray, and not to faint.

Prayer of Thanksgiving

LORD, You are my light and my salvation, there is no legitimate reason for me to be afraid? You are my fortress, my hiding place, my great protector so why should I tremble with fear? Although the odds are against me, I will not give in to fear because Jesus has defeated sin and evil on the cross. LORD Jesus, I take delight in your perfection. You took on the garb of my flesh and lived in this sin cursed world, yet You never sinned, You never feared, You never failed and You will not start now. You are the huge rock, the cliff that I stand on. Because of Your great might and perfection, my enemies cannot reach me. I celebrate this wonderful salvation with song, praise and thanksgiving. This morning, my heart heard you say, “Come and talk with Me,” and LORD I am talking to YOU. You have always been my helper. Your grace has brought me safe thus far and it will lead me home. My friends and family may abandon me but You never will. Teach me how to live LORD and point me in the right direction. Deliver me from the evil one and give me the wisdom to avoid temptation. I see Your goodness more each day and I long to be in your perfect presence. I am in the land of the dying but I am headed for the land of the living. On this earth, evil seems to prevail but I wait patiently on Jesus return. I am fully confident that He will make all things right. In Jesus name I pray. Amen!
